Check out what is going on to help raise funds for the purchase of an Automated Electronic Defribillator (AED) (heart starter) to be housed at Billy Grace Reserve. We are a long way from help and a machine such as this could help in an emergency.

AEDs analyse heart rhythms instantly and accurately, making it possible for non-professionals to administer potentially life saving assistance without risking accidental shock. We think it is a valuable device that we need here in the Wee Jasper valley - given our distance from nearest professional medical assistance, and we are currently raising funds for the purchase of 1 AED, storage and advanced training for 6 community members.

We currently have two fundraising ventures underway. A raffle with great prizes and we are also selling tshirts and cards.

The raffle is now underway, tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Great prizes, get your tickets at The Stables Tavern, Wee Jasper Reserves or contact us and we'll send you some. Drawn on 23 August 2008 at Wee Jasper Under the Stars at Billy Grace Reserve. Winners notified on the night or via email or phone on 24 August 2008.
