About the Reserves
Five camping
areas make up Wee Jasper Reserves. They are a popular holiday, adventure
sport and touring destination, located beside rushing rivers and
cascading streams, idyllic picnic spots, pristine bush areas and
wild caves.
Billy Grace
Reserve - on the Goodradigbee River, Billy Grace Reserve offers
excellent fishing, beautiful spots to picnic at and riverbanks to
relax on. Sarah's Playground on the Reserve offers play equipment
for kids and electric undercover barbecues. A favourite with families
and groups. The Ranger's office is also located here. There is a
new entrance to Billy Grace about 40m from the corner of Nottingham
Road and Wee Jasper Road... just up from the old entrance. Located on Nottingham Road, near the Wee Jasper/Tumut Road intersection.
Fitzpatrick
Trackhead - this Reserve has excellent facilities and is popular
with bushwalkers, cavers, mountain bikers, families and groups.
A stopover on the Hume and Hovell walking track and close to wild
caves. Located on the Tumut/Wee Jasper Road. Close to Billy Grace Reserve but not on the river.
Swinging
Bridge - on the Goodradigbee River, Swinging Bridge offers a
unique piece of history, with historic fishing huts forming part
of the scenery. Located on Nottingham Road.
Micalong
Creek - one of the area's leading trout streams. Excellent fishing
in season and great walking trails, as well as some secret swimming
holes. Located on Nottingham Road.
Carey's Reserve
- on the banks of the Goodradigbee River. When water levels allow,
this Reserve offers direct access to the River for boating. Located on Caves Road.
To ensure you
