FORTHCOMING EVENTS

8 August - Wee Jasper P & C Fundraiser @ WJ Memorial Hall - The Chef's Toolbox, 3pm $20 gets you in for cooking demos, giveaways and prizes as well as a chance to purchase some great cooking gear. Ticket sales go to P&C to help out our wonderful school. For tickets and information please phone 62279655.

8 August - Jo the Colorado Gypsy Woman - music and entertainment at The Stables Tavern ph  62279619 for more information. Jo's performed at the Tavern before and it was a great fun night with lots of singing and dancing. Don't miss out.

3 & 4 October John Coles Fly Fishing School, Wee Jasper

News coming soon of next Wee Jasper Naturally weekend (August) - cave tours, bushwalks, entertainment and education and more.

New playground & landscaping - Its nearly finished! We are very excited and it is looking really great. Not open to the public yet but it won't be long. 100 trees and shrubs have also been planted as part of this project at Sarah's Playground, Billy Grace Reserve.

 

AED - Thanks to everyone who donated cash and prizes for raffles, to help us raise funds to buy an Automated Electronic Defibrillator (heart-starter) - you'll be pleased to know IT'S HERE! Yes, we've got it and in the next few weeks staff and community members will undertake training in the use of the unit. The unit is designed to be foolproof, like a fire extinguisher (or so they say!) - it is available at Billy Grace Reserve, Ranger's Office for whenever it is required.

Wee Jasper General Store - is closed This means no fuel, fishing licences or supplies available.  Ice and gas refills are available from The Stables Tavern as well as milk, bread and basic supplies. Visitor Information is available 24/7 from the Ranger's Office at Billy Grace Reserve and during opening hours at The Stables. Premises is up for Auction on 18 July.

Dogleg Cave - There is no public access from the Sandtrap onwards in the wild cave known as Dogleg.  Please contact us if you have any enquiries. No other caves are affected by this measure.

Micalong Creek - work is being undertaken at Micalong Creek Camping Reserve to open up some more camping space. Watch this space for news.

Groups
Scouts, schools, social clubs, corporate groups and the like are reminded that to receive the group discount you must book in advance. If you are planning to use the wild caves it also assists us in planning and conservation. Spring is our busiest time of the year so book ahead to avoid difficulties.
